Chris Webby kicks off the Best in the Burbs Tour tomorrow in Springfield, VA. This is one of the shows that I have been looking forward to for a long time. His new tape, Best in the Burbs (available @ datpiff.com) has shown his growth as an artist and his undeniable lyrical prowess. He will kill a beat and walk away like it is no big deal, or at least that is the feeling he gives off. Being such a big fan of his, we here at Chazer are trying to set up an interview with the man himself at the show in Jersey. Fingers crossed, but we are working on it. In the mean time get caught up on your Webby tracks and BUY TICKETS to the shows!

It’s always good to see a passing of the torch, kind of. Snoop is not going anywhere, but he has definitely taken a serious interest in Wiz Khalifa. The two have done tracks together in the past and have very public dialog back and for on Twitter, most of which is Snoop giving Wiz his props. Now the two have collaborated  on a new track that released 1/17/11 at 4:20pm, go figure. The song is called “That Good” and it is pretty clear that given the two artists track record with some lifting remedies played a large part in the creation. This song will be featured in “High School OST” which has no release date as of yet.

Well it looks like Lebron is embarking on another venture. It appears that this venture will be of the animated kind. Lebron has teamed up with Nike and a team of animators in an attempt to turn the very popular series of commercials, “The Lebrons”, into an animated series. The new series will keep the old characters from the commercial and even add a few more to the mix. The series will not be aired on TV and will not be used as commercials for nike. It will air solely on Lebron’s YouTube channel and won’t begin its run until the spring.

Lebron hopes that with this new series he can bring hope and inspiration to those that are not as fortunate as him, and will provide the motivation that is needed to be successful in todays world. It should be pretty entertaining, that is if it is like the old commercials. Nothing will ever top those commercials, especially the “slick brother” character, he always reminded me of Charlie Murphy. I’m just sayin.

Wiz Khalifa had one of the best years of anyone in the music industry. He released one of the hottest mixtapes to hit the internet, “Kush and OJ”, saw his popularity rise to national celebrity with features with Wale, Rick Ross, Curren$y and so many more, and the icing on the cake was his BANGER “Black and Yellow”. It didn’t hurt that he sold out his shows across the country. This video pretty much sums up the explosion that is WIZ
